OAS
The Orthodox Academic Society (OAS) fosters and enhances an active academic theological community among AHOS students, faculty, alumni and scholars at-large whose research and interests are aligned with the Orthodox Christian Tradition.
OAS intends to offer Fall and Spring Symposia each year, and the presentations will be published in an annual journal, AHOS Master and Doctoral students and alumni are encouraged to submit papers
Meet the OAS Staff
Dn. Simeon Spencer
Dn. Simeon is the coordinator of the Orthodox Academic Society and is the moderator of the OAS Symposium. He is a PhD student at AHOS. His home parish is St. Elias Orthodox Church in Atlanta, Georgia. He also serves at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Dothan, Alabama.
Peter Lee
Peter manages the OAS registration and membership data. He is a Ph.D. student at AHOS, researching on St. Dionysius, liturgy, and symbolism. He was converted to Orthodox in 2015, immigrated to USA in 1974.
Fr. Cosmin Sicoe
Fr. Cosmin has been serving Orthodox Christian Churches in North America for the last 20 years. He was educated in Romania and holds a ThM from HCHC. His experience includes prison ministry and teaching.  Â
